Toastmaster Events:

The Table Topic and Humourous speech contests are coming: September 24, 2005 @ Cal State Fullerton for the Area (multiple divisions), and October 16th, here @ ECCU for the District finals. Member Scott K. represented our club during the Area D3/D5 contest on September 19, 2003. He won the competition and advanced to the Division "D" contest which took place October 25th. There he came second. Mark B. represented us in the March 2004 contest but did not make it to the Division level.

November 21, 2006: Doo-Dah parade in PAsadena. Toastmasters has a drill team.

LACE leadership (officer training) & Speaker Enrichment Series: features presentations on Speech writing, Powerpoint, "Meet the monkey", etc.

At the Wyndham Anaheim Park Hotel (222 West Houston Ave., Fullerton), On Saturday April 29, 2006 from 8:00am to 10:00pm..Will features many workshops on such topics as: "Leadership", "Improving your speaking abilities "or "Club Coaching". Also included are the "International Speach and Table Topics" contests, and voting on various Toastmasters matters. Contact Richard K if you are interested.

Special Events:

In the past our Club has sponsored "Speechcraft" series. The last one was scheduled for September 13th 2004 and lasted for six sessions until October 18th, it will require participation of all members to help new and potential members to follow the program. Please review the handout, or, for more info, call Richard K. This series will again take place in March during and instead of the regular club meetings at the ECCU center from 6:30 pm. to 7:30 pm.

We had an "Open House" meeting in honor of our 30th Anniversary at our location @ the ECCU (Evangelical Christian Credit Union) community center on 02/02/04 at the special time of 5:30 pm. We invited past and present members to share with us their Toastmaster experiences. We also featured a sandwich dinner at the break. This was a nice event that was attended by many guests. Let's do it again at the 40th.

Dues are due by October and April 1st. of each year; $24 per member (make checks payable to "Brea Toastmasters"). Please contact Richard K. Also, please update the EVP on all the speeches that you have done, because all members who have completed their CTM requirements and submitted the paperwork by 06/30/06 will be awarded a special badge.
