The purpose of this page is to provide information relating to the Sunny Hills LEO Club:


Club News:

  • April 28th; Camp Wilderness Service project with the District.
  • New Officer elections should be done by May 15th, 2002: Please select you nominees. Remember that officers will be trained but will require tutorship from fellow club members.
  • Ongoing Nature project: Seal Beach conservancy clean-up every third Saturday of each month.


District News

  • Leo District meeting and election on April 18th, 2002.
  • Quarterly reports are due."Leo Club Excellence Award" will be determined by the activities bpresented in the quarterly report.
  • New Leo Clubs: Chaparral Middle School Leo Club in Diamond Bar will be chartered on May 5th, 2002. Two other clubs are in the plans; Chino Hills and Brea-Olinda High School.
  • Youth Exchange is a Lions sponsored organization that enables interaction between teenagers of different countries by providing an exchange program overseas. You can stay 5 weeks in Europe or Japan for approximately $1800. at a host family. Contact Dr. Poli or Sebastian for more info.

Things we did:

  • Beepball tournament on 11/03/01,
  • Donated to the September 11th fund: $500.,
  • Rose Parade float decoration on 12/27/01,
  • Cleaned and replanted the Bolsa Chica Wetlands,
  • Gave Chocolate hearts to local elderly at their retirement homes,
  • Easter egg Hunt for the Kindergarden children in Santa Ana on 03/29/02.
