The purpose of this page is to provide information relating to the Sunny Hills LEO Club:
Club News:
-
- April 28th; Camp Wilderness Service project with the District.
- New Officer elections should be done by May 15th, 2002: Please select you nominees. Remember that officers will be trained but will require tutorship from fellow club members.
- Ongoing Nature project: Seal Beach conservancy clean-up every third Saturday of each month.
District News
- Leo District meeting and election on April 18th, 2002.
- Quarterly reports are due."Leo Club Excellence Award" will be determined by the activities bpresented in the quarterly report.
- New Leo Clubs: Chaparral Middle School Leo Club in Diamond Bar will be chartered on May 5th, 2002. Two other clubs are in the plans; Chino Hills and Brea-Olinda High School.
- Youth Exchange is a Lions sponsored organization that enables interaction between teenagers of different countries by providing an exchange program overseas. You can stay 5 weeks in Europe or Japan for approximately $1800. at a host family. Contact Dr. Poli or Sebastian for more info.
Things we did:
- Beepball tournament on 11/03/01,
- Donated to the September 11th fund: $500.,
- Rose Parade float decoration on 12/27/01,
- Cleaned and replanted the Bolsa Chica Wetlands,
- Gave Chocolate hearts to local elderly at their retirement homes,
- Easter egg Hunt for the Kindergarden children in Santa Ana on 03/29/02.
